With the development of new communication tools, it is necessary to pay particular attention to the protection of privacy. This is why we are committed to respecting the confidentiality of the personal information we collect.

Legislation

Your personal data is protected in accordance with :

  • the European Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (which came into force on 25 May 2018) on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (PGRD) ;
  • the preliminary draft law of 16 March 2018 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data.

Personal information collected :

  • Data necessary for processing seafarer applications for seaman books as mandated by international maritime agreements.
  • Contact information including address and e-mail, phone number, names, roles within the company.
  • Details of our interactions via emails, including required documents for seaman book applications and files.

We use these data to:

  • Process all maritime services associated with the Panama Maritime Authority.
  • Maintain a secure client database for updates, including circulars, memorandums and international agreements.
  • Monitor your business requirements and enhance engagement and cooperation with our Consulate.
  • Dispatch emails concerning regulations and legal information that may be of interest to you.

Right of opposition and withdrawal :

  • We are committed to providing you with the right to object and withdraw your personal information.
    The right to object is the possibility offered to Internet users to refuse that their personal information be used for certain purposes mentioned at the time of collection.
  • The right of withdrawal is the possibility offered to Internet users to request that their personal information no longer appear, for example, on a mailing list.

We keep your data as long as we are engaged with you. We conduct regular reviews of the information we collect and remove it once we see that our relationship has ended. If you would like us to delete your data once your seaman book certification has been issued, please let us know.

2. Terms & Conditions

Purpose

The Terms & Conditions described below detail the rights and obligations of Mariteam Services and its client in the context of the sale of the following goods:

  • seaman’s book ;
  • and other services ;

Any service provided by Mariteam Services therefore implies the buyer’s unreserved adherence to these general terms and conditions of sale.

Application Processing Time

Depending on the workflow of the General Embassy or Consulates of Panama, a softcopy of the Temporary Certification is typically issued within one to three working days floowing the receipt of payment or a Purchase Order from users.

A hardcopy of the Temporary Certification will be issued based on the availability of the Panama Embassy or Consulate processing the application.

Withdrawing applications

Application that are currently undergoing the endorsement cannot be withdrawn.

Approval/Rejections

All approvals and/or rejections are at the sole discretion of the Panama Consulate or General Embassy.

Refunds

No refunds shall be issued if the applications has been rejected by the General Embassy or Consulate of Panama for any reason.

This clause stipulates that all refund requests from users will be denied.

Charges

All charges are subjected to the General Embassy or Consulate of Panama.

They are expressed in euros and calculated without tax.

Mariteam Services reserves the right to change its charges may deviate yearly due to annual adjustments from the General Embassy or Consulate of Panama.

Delivery address

All clients are required to update their mailing address, to facilitate the smooth delivery of the Hard Copy Certificate.

DHL is our transport partner. The delivery time stated is only an estimate time and is not guaranteed 100%. The client fully assumes the risk of transport.

Therefore, the delivery delay will not entitle the client to:

  • compensation for damages;
  • the cancellation of the order.

Payment

Upon order confirmation, the client is required to pay the full invoice amount.

The invoice needs to be paid within 1 month, though Bank Tranfer or credit card via Paypal (extra fees).

In case of total or partial non-payment after seaman book received, the client have to pay penalties.

Others

Mariteam Services reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice and users are encouraged to revisit the terms and conditions from time to time.
